M.Jackson - The King of Pop

A very different Friday morning today. I was listening to radio as usual while on the way to office. I was wondering why 988 played MJ - "You are not alone". Without knowing anything, we discussed about if we want to buy MJ concert tickets if he come to KL tour. We I got down from the car and proceed to my office in Times Square, I nearly forgot about what we discussed on MJ. Suddenly, I received an SMS from my wife... MJ passed away!

No wonder chinese radio station 988 played MJ songs. Not for his concert promo, but its for tribute. Out of sudden, I feel so sad. Suppose he is not someone close to me, but why do I feel sad? Maybe we all have grown up together with Michael. We all listened to his songs and we all watched his MTV, and we all could have at least once, sang his songs before... and that makes me feel sad, for a lost of a talented guy like him - The King of Pop.

Look at this..from the 60's to 70's to 80's then 90's. He has been with us all the time with his signature "crotch-grabbing dance moves". We all will never forget that. The moves that everybody tries to imitate and scream like MJ. I guess we all will not forget him - the one and only MJ - King of Pop. Hope he will have a wonderful journey...

A(H1N1) Influenza - Why Now?

Today, more cases has been reported and M'sia now is having more than 60 cases where 2 of the cases were local transmission. Why there is a pandemic now? Aren't we have enough trouble? Riots, terrorist, economic crisis, haze,..etc. How can we digest all these?

No doubt, in this century, we are able to learn a lot of scientific terms from the diseases (H1N1); types of bombs used by terrorists, definition of nuclear weapons and even natural disaster terms such as Tsunami. Is it better for us not to know about all these? Even we can understand all these and we know that it is happening around us, what can we do about it? Does this means we have to be more rationale? Does this mean we have to learn to accept death?

Even we know that we are now having global warming as our world issue but what can we really do? Only certain people in some countries really concern with the global warming issue and even within this group of people, only some will try their best to comply with the steps to reduce it. Most of us have to live on with our normal life and every single thing we do, might create global warming. Just like me, now typing on these...am I now contributing to global warming.

End of the day, does this mean we have to go back in time and live like a barbarian. Do we need civilization, since we all are the product of civilization. Maybe one day, we all will be wipe out just like the dinasours. Hmm.. maybe there was once where the dinasours becomes civilized and did the same thing like us, created global warming or create the environment that breeds viruses. Seems like we are no better than animals, since we all are just another category of the animals.

Lets put some thought on these questions and think careful the purpose of our existence. I'm thinking now....

AFC King of the Grill - Robert Rainford

19th June 2009, Robert Rainford, AFC King of the Grill together with the co-founders of Asian Food Channel visited KL. Its a great opportunity to attend his talk on his career as a chef. A very interesting seminar and we got to know more of what a chef really has to go through in life. He did mentioned something meaningful in the seminar, "You may rest, but never quit"...

See..I'm so near to the AFC co-founders and the King. Feel so proud (don't really know why?)

Well, look at this - I'm actually taller than the King of Grill. Now I know why I feel proud :P

My Home Scenary

This is the only scene I have, every time I look out from my window. Suppose, it is KL view, but it is blocked by the legendary Batu Caves. So, it left only partial KL view, and that's what I got now. Well, better than nothing.

This photo was taken at 8.oopm using Sony Alpha 300 - 30' F3.5

Starbucks Breakfast

Starbucks now offering breakfast special for only RM6.80 (coffee of the day). If you upgrade the beverage to Latte, it will add up to RM9.80

The breakfast segment of market is getting more competitive. Given the many choices of breakfast set now, you can choose from McDonald's, KFC, Old Town Cafe and more... all priced with minimum price (less than RM10), what you gonna choose for your breakfast? Many people might have turned away from the traditional soup mee, porridge, & tim sum (its not cheap for tim sum) for the new western breakfast set like the above, since it is more complete and better ambience.
