London 2016 Day 5 (6/3/2016) - London Designer Outlet and Wembley Stadium

We are going back to Wembley again, another must go place if you like to shop for brands like Nike, Adidas, Superdry, Clarks, New Balance, North Face and more at outlet price. Just next to Wembley Stadium, it is the London Designer Outlet.

From Canary Wharf, it is easy for us to get there by Tube. We took the Jubilee Line from Canary Wharf station to Wembley Park station. The journey is around 42 minutes.
Enjoy the scenery for the 40 minutes journey

Hotel Yllen Eiffel in Paris

During our UK trip this time, we managed to go for a 2 Days 1 Night trip to Paris. We stayed for a night in Hotel Yllen Eiffel at Rue de Vaugirard. It is a 19th century building but the rooms are modern and go the contemporary feel. The Volontaires metro station is just next to the hotel so it is very convenient. By the way, although the hotel name is Yllen Eiffel, it is about 2.9 kilometers away from Eiffel Tower and it was not visible from the room we stayed.
The street of the hotel
Eiffel Tower from the main street before turning in to the Rue de Vaugirard street.
As such, it was a nice an quiet place to stay for a night, surrounded by classic buildings around the area.

The metro station is just located outside the delivery motorbikes
Remember to bring your International Power Adapter.
We booked this hotel from and it cost us around Euro 150 including 10% VAT. This price for 3 person (double bed plus one additional bed), I think is reasonable :)

The Black Lion Riverside Pub Restaurant at Hammersmith

Introducting the Black Lion, a very traditional pub that we visited before going to the Lantern Festival at Chiswick House & Garden. The Black Lion is a chain or pub restaurant in London. It was full of surprises going to this place.

First of all, it was a long walk from Tube Station in a cold weather...passing through highway to residential neighborhood roads before reading this classic pub.

Once entering the Black Lion, it is totally a different world; a very cozy environment. We felt so comfortable there, like dining at home, with a fire place. The other guests were like friends in the neighborhood. We had a very pleasant evening there, after a long long walk finding this place :P

The Menu
The food was great. Got to taste some pub meals with reasonable price (after discounts, each item was around 5-7 pound). Portion wise, it is more than enough for average guy like me, their starter portion is a big as main course.

We felt so full after the dinner and so reluctant to leave....but we got to walk to Chiswick for the Lantern Festival... without minutes, all the food we consumed we put in good use. We then walked about a mile (1.6 kilometers) to the Chiswick House & Garden.

It was a good experience to dine in a traditional pub like this but if I would to return to this place, I must take a taxi.
