The Black Lion Riverside Pub Restaurant at Hammersmith

Introducting the Black Lion, a very traditional pub that we visited before going to the Lantern Festival at Chiswick House & Garden. The Black Lion is a chain or pub restaurant in London. It was full of surprises going to this place.

First of all, it was a long walk from Tube Station in a cold weather...passing through highway to residential neighborhood roads before reading this classic pub.

Finally!
Once entering the Black Lion, it is totally a different world; a very cozy environment. We felt so comfortable there, like dining at home, with a fire place. The other guests were like friends in the neighborhood. We had a very pleasant evening there, after a long long walk finding this place :P

The Menu
The food was great. Got to taste some pub meals with reasonable price (after discounts, each item was around 5-7 pound). Portion wise, it is more than enough for average guy like me....trust me, their starter portion is a big as main course.

We felt so full after the dinner and so reluctant to leave....but we got to walk to Chiswick for the Lantern Festival... without minutes, all the food we consumed we put in good use. We then walked about a mile (1.6 kilometers) to the Chiswick House & Garden.

It was a good experience to dine in a traditional pub like this but if I would to return to this place, I must take a taxi.
