Red Planet Hotel Asoke Bangkok

We just came back from a break in Bangkok. It was a extremely hot there, around 39 degree Celsius. Anyway, before I go into the stuffs I did there during the holidays, let me share with you the hotel we stayed during my 5 days 4 nights trip (11/2/2016 - 15/2/2016).
My wife booked the Red Planet Hotel at Asoke Bangkok. It cost around RM 150 per night. Red Planet was known as Tune Hotel Bangkok (a budget hotel). There is no breakfast and no restaurant in this hotel but they do sell some snacks and drinks. Front Office staffs are friendly and speak good English. The security guard is also very kind to open the door for us all the time. Anyway, the location of this hotel is so convenient that we can get anything we want within meters away.

This is one of the reason we like to stay in this hotel, location. It is just few minutes walk to Bangkok Transit System (BTS) Skytrain - Asok Station and Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. From Asok station, using the Mo Chit line, it is just 3 stations away to Chit Lom Station where you can shop at CentralWorld Shopping Mall and Pratunam Market.

The hotel provides free WiFi in the room and at the lobby. In the room, there is a LCD TV, safe box, hair dryer, ceiling fan and towels. There is no mini bar, water kettle and telephone to the front office. You need to download Red Planet mobile app if you wish to use the intercom service. Overall, it is very clean and nice environment.
Outside the hotel, there is a taxi booking counter with reasonable price. I think they collaborate with the hotel and will not simply take advantage of the hotel guests. We took a van for 8 person with luggage to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) for 1,200Baht only - good deal!

Overall, this is a value for money hotel to stay in Bangkok. I would recommend this hotel for couple, family (with children) and friends visits to Bangkok.
