English Afternoon High-Tea at Majestic Hotel KL

Majestic Hotel is a new landmark in Kuala Lumpur. The uniqueness of this hotel is on the architecture of the building - classic and historical.  Located next to the KL railways station, it shares the similar design of the station but was renovated with premium interior by the owner, YTL Hotels.

The hotel offers English afternoon high-tea from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. There are two different section for the hi-tea, one is at the Orchids glass house and the other is in the Colonial Cafe. My recent visits to the high-tea was at the glass house full with orchids. Reservation needed for a table in the glass house because of very limited tables available (3 tables only).

The ambience is great and the staff who served us was very professional. Good explanation given by the staff on the offerings of the high-tea and the staff addresses the guests by name. Thumb up for the ambience and the personnel.

In terms of the food, hmm...I can only say, okay-lah. I wonder why did they serve curry puffs in an English high-tea. Also, I think the scones served were not really up to the standard for a reputable cafe in a 5-star hotel. So far, I still think the Claridge's, London serves the BEST scones.

Anyway, the value of this high-tea is more on the physical evidence and the people aspects. If you do want to experience it yourself, just enjoy the process... cheers!
