The Beautiful Earth: Yet To Be Polluted

While I was traveling back home, I heard from radio news reported that the the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) in Singapore and Johor state in Malaysia has exceeded 300. This mark a very hazardous level for health and may trigger breathing difficulty.

It seems like the yearly routine of burning has started again in Indonesia. I remember every year during these months, we will all talks about air pollution, and how bad this can cause to our health. News will reports the causes on this and suggest the same methods to prevent from breathing difficulty. People still suffer and felt sick. Many corporates incurred additional costs in medications expenses and lost of productivity. Yet, it was the same years after years. Now in 2013, we are still going through the same thing...haze!

Any development? Yes, we can now see that the PSI is increasing to the new record high in Singapore at 371 and Pasir Gudang, Johor at 333. Does these number means anything to you? Is there anything we cam do about it? Anyone responsible to solve the root cause of this instead of telling us how to minimize our suffering?

We can still see a beautiful scene of the sky today but I don't know if tomorrow we can still see it. Maybe the haze in the south has already charging their way to us in the central... Got to be ready and hope it won't reach us in Kuala Lumpur. God bless us.
