Water Crisis in Klang Valley Malaysia

Woke up early this morning on a Merdeka Day (National Day) and found no water supply. Wondering why there were no notice from Syabas, I tried to go to their website to check what was going on. Seems like the water disruption was due to the closure of the Sungai Selangor water plants for cleaning works. Why clean? Thanks to a diesel spillage 10km away from the water intake area.

According the Syabas (not really their fault this time), the districts affected include Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor.

Now, I am surviving with some few drops of water from the tap...(lucky to have that few drops of water in the pipes). A memorable 56th Years Celebration of Merdeka Day! Selamat Menyambut Hari Merdeka yang ke-56!
