Mee Jawa
A good morning starts with a nice breakfast. Had a mee jawa this morning at a nearby restaurant, prepared by an Indonesian and it cost RM4.50.
Mee Jawa is a famous dish in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. At some places, it is called Mee Rebus because it is basically the same preparation and ingredients. Mee Jawa is made of yellow egg noodles and with a special gravy - slightly sweet and spicy. The ingredients used to prepare for the gravy includes potatoes, curry powder, water, salted soybeans, shrimps and with some peanuts. It is normally served with hard boiled egg, spring onions, green and red chillies, tofu, fried shallots and bean sprouts.
Where else you can find this?
